I think this is actually pretty cool, like a Theme and Variations but in text only.

Caroline Bergvall: VIA (48 Dante Variations) is a compiled list of translations into English of Dante’s opening lines. As archived in the British Library up until May 2000. 700 years after the date set for the start of the journey into Hell. The Journey was timed to start and end in 1300. And Dante’s 35th year or so-called point of mid-life. Recorded and composed with Ciáran Maher (Summer 2000). The full text has been featured in CHAIN’s “Transluccinacion” issue (Autumn 2003).

What do Mormons really believe about the Bible? I’ve always loved the bass line at the beginning of this but have never really cared for the whole song since the middle free section on the studio cut always sounds too much like a drug trip to me. I like this version much better and seeing Bonham play is pretty cool, too. It’s really funny to me to see the audience mostly just sitting there but love how much the band really puts into it.
